Biography
Dr Angeline Lai completed her undergraduate medical education and postgraduate paediatric training in Singapore, obtaining her M.B.,B.S. from the National University of Singapore and M.R.C.P (UK) in Paediatrics. In 2002, she was awarded a Health Manpower Development Programme fellowship and completed a clinical fellowship in medical genetics and clinical cytogenetics in Melbourne, Australia. Currently, Dr Lai is senior consultant and head of the Genetics Service, Department of Paediatric Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s HospitalDr Lai’s clinical practice includes evaluation and management of children with dysmorphism or multiple congenital malformations, as well as prenatal or preconception genetic counselling. Dr Lai is currently involved in research projects screening for submicroscopic chromosomal imbalances in children with multiple congenital anomalies and/or intellectual disability using array CGH.
