Jeffrey Tan Gek Meng

Biography

 Prof Lim is is trained in General Medicine and Endocrinology with a sub-specialty interest in Diabetology (including insulin pump therapy). He is currently the Deputy Director, Diabetes Centre (overseeing the Diabetic Kidney Disease Clinic) and Senior Consultant, Department of Medicine. He is also the Clinical Director of Clinical Research Unit.  He was a clinical research fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston, USA in 1997/8. He earned a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009. He holds an Adjunct Associate Professor appointments in the following Universities: Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Dukes-NUS and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr Lim’s research interest includes endothelial function, arterial stiffness, diabetic vascular complications (in particular, diabetic nephropathy), monogenic diabetes and genetic epidemiology.
