Biography

Qualifications   Bachelor in Science (Occupational Therapy) Diploma in Occupational Therapy Allied Health Professions Council (Full Registration) DIRFloortime® Certified Interactive Metronome Certified (IMC) COGMED Working Memory Training® Certified   Experience   Stanley graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore as an occupational therapist. He has obtained full registration from the Allied Health Professional Council and is a member of the Singapore Association of Occupational Therapists (SAOT).   Stanley’s clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). He has had experience working with children with special needs and learning differences at the Fei Yue Community Services (EIPIC) and Eden Children’s Centre where he was involved with the assessment and intervention process with many clients, both individually and in group settings.   With a strong passion and zest for the field of occupational therapy, Stanley continues to attend special interest groups and talks held by the SAOT and other prestigious organizations. He is invested in looking for ways in which to work with children to achieve their best.   Young clients often relate well to his fun loving personality and his sporty outlook in life. He has always loved working with children. In addition to working in a pediatric setting currently, he also used to coach children in Rock/Sports climbing before becoming a certified occupational therapist. His playful personality helps him connect emotionally with the children he works with.   Stanley is proactive in his professional development, attending courses, seminars and conferences to keep up to date with the latest development in the field.
