Biography

Hi, I'm Choo Hoong Cheong and I'm a Senior Manager for Amgen Singapore's first commercial active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) facility which manufactures the Carfilzomib API for Kyprolis® to treat multiple myeloma. I manage a team of manufacturing associates who are responsible for the daily operations in this facility and ensure the manufacturing processes are operated within schedule and in a robust yet safe, compliant manner. I also ensure my team stays motivated, engaged and able to take on opportunities to learn and develop themselves.

Research Interest

I certainly want to tap into my experiences to coach and mentor fresh and new hires on the API operations, whether it is imparting safety and manufacturing knowledge, technical transfer or process-equipment-operations. I want to influence and groom a new generation of API talents to take this plant into new heights.
