Brian M. Shirley

Biography

Brian Shirley is DRAM and emerging memory engineering senior vice president at Micron Technology. He is responsible for managing Micron’s memory business units and engineering group. Mr. Shirley was appointed to his current position in March 2014. Mr. Shirley joined Micron in 1988 as a member of the DRAM product engineering team. He has held positions of increasing responsibility, including leading several designs for Micron’s 4Mb and 16Mb products on the DRAM design team, before becoming the DRAM design manager in 1997. He was appointed to vice president of DRAM solutions in 2006. Mr. Shirley earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he graduated with distinction.
