Biography
I am a Nanyang Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I received a PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA; and a M.A., B.A. in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, UK. I am the Editor-in-Chief of Asian Scientist Magazine, recipient of the 2013 Singapore Youth Award, and a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum. I received the 2011 L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women In Science (FWIS) Fellowship (Life sciences category). In 2014, I was named one of the ten Innovators under 35 (Asia) by MIT Technology Review. My work has been featured by The BBC, MIT Technology Review, South China Morning Post, Singapore Tatler, Class 95 FM, Prestige Magazine’s 40 under 40, Singapore Straits Times and the World Economic Forum.
Research Interest
Researchers in the Laboratory of Nanomedicine and Tissue Engineering are working on translational and multi-disciplinary projects in nanomedicine for cardiovascular and skin applications
