Biography
Dr. Ong is an Associate Professor with the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. He received both Bachelor (1982) and Doctoral (1985) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, UK. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
Research Interest
Stress and failure analysis of structures, smart materials and structures, and development of optical sensors for structural health-monitoring.
