Biography

Dr Poh Eng Kee graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), First Class Honours, in 1986. Upon graduation, he joined DSO as a project engineer specialising in flight control design. In 1989, he was awarded the Defence Technology Training Award (DTTA) to pursue postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan, USA, where he completed his MSc (EE:Systems) and PhD (EE:Systems) in 1990 and 1993 respectively. Since then, he has assumed the appointments of Laboratory Head, Chief Engineer, Program Director and Program Manager at DSO National Laboratories from 1994 to 2007. Presently, he is a Program Manager of Guidance, Navigation and Control program at DSO National Laboratories where he also holds the title of Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. Concurrently, he is also an adjunct Associate Professor at the School of EEE, NTU where he conducts postgraduate courses in computational studies and control and also supervises PhD students in the areas of control and signal processing.

Research Interest

Assoc Prof (Adj.) Dr Poh Eng Kee specializes in guidance, navigation, control and signal processing. His areas of research focus on advanced navigation and control design for unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous underwater vehicle, satellite formation control and communication, GPS receiver design and algorithms.
