Biography
Dr Xu Yan is now holding the Nanyang Assistant Professorship at NTU (http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/nap/). Prior to joining NTU, he held the University of Sydney Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Sydney, Australia (http://sydney.edu.au/research/join-us/university-of-sydney-fellowship-scheme.html). His research areas include power system, smart grid, and renewable energy integration. He has published 70 SCI journal papers including 42 in IEEE Transactions, 16 in IET Proceedings, and 12 in Applied Energy, Electric Power System Research, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, etc. He has also published 2 book chapters and over 30 international conference papers. He has received 5 awards from IEEE and IET paper contest, conference best paper, etc. His research deliverables have been practically applied by power utilities in Australia, USA, Hong Kong, Macau, and China Mainland.
