Biography

  Welcome to the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), a national and regional centre of excellence committed to excellence in research, education and clinical services, and patient care.  We provide top quality care to patients through a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to cancer treatment. Our oncologists have subspecialty interests and correspondingly have tremendous depth of experience.  Our clinician-scientists are actively engaged in bedside to bench research and clinical trials.  Our goal is to provide the highest standards of medical diagnosis, treatment and care for all cancer patients.  With NCCS hosting the largest pool of dedicated scientists and doctors, we are able to undertake an academic role in training and educating oncologists, researchers, clinician scientists and other allied health professionals in Singapore and overseas.  NCCS have gained a reputation as a leading global healthcare institution because of the efforts of our medical scientific team. We house the largest number of oncologists, researchers and clinician scientists in Singapore and their research work have been widely recognised by the international medical community.  In recognition of the growing cancer burden, we are moving to our new building by 2020.  The new one-stop NCCS will be three times the size over our current NCCS.  NCCS will be organised such that each floor will house the clinical, research and educational functions by disease type. This is to foster closer collaboration between our clinicians and researchers.  In turn, we believe this will provide better medical care and patient outcomes.  The new building will also offer new therapies by tapping on the latest in medical advances and technology to provide the best cancer care for all Singaporeans.  NCCS will continue to strive towards our objectives to offer our patients hope, by providing the best care, having the best people and doing the best research.  To this end, we are actively seeking collaborations and co-management programmes with like-minded organisations and individuals. Through working together, we can make a difference in improving our patient outcomes.
