Biography
Associate Professor Quek Swee Tian graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 1995 before undergoing further training in the UK. He is currently Head of Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the National University Hospital (NUH) as well as Head of Department of Diagnostic Radiology at NUS. He is also the clinical director of the Breast Screen Singapore program at NUH. His other appointments include being executive committee member of the National Cancer Institute of Singapore (NCIS), Working Committee of Western Cancer Action Network (We-CAN), Clinical Department Mortality and Morbidity Quality Assurance Committee and Chair of the Radiation Safety Committee in NUH. His interest in medico-legal and professional matters has seen him appointed a member of the Singapore Medical Council’s Complaints and Disciplinary Committee, a Senior Advisor to the NUH Medical Board to assist in medico-legal issues as well as a member of the Standing Committee on Continuing Professional Development, Academy of Medicine. In education, A/Prof Quek is a member of the Specialist Training Committee and Residency Advisory Committee for Diagnostic Radiology, an examiner in the MMed(Diag Rad)/FRCR examinations and an external examiner in the Indonesian National Board Examinations. He has published on various topics in Radiology and authored/co-authored a number of book chapters. He sits on the editorial board of several journals and has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences.
