Biography
Associate Professor Sunil Sethi is the Chief and Senior Consultant with Department of Laboratory Medicine at National University Hospital and also heads its Division of Clinical Chemistry since 2002. His other current appointments include Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, NUS; Associate Senior Consultant, Department of Medicine, NUH; General Manager, NUH Referral Laboratory. He received his MBBS (1984) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (1988) from National University of Singapore. Subsequently, he obtained his PhD in Clinical Biochemistry from University of Surrey (UK) in 1995. A/Professor Sethi is conferred fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2004 and Royal College of Pathologists in Chemical Pathology in 2003. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians (1988), Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists, and the Royal College of Pathologists in Chemical Pathology. Professor Sethi has published extensive journals on laboratory medicine and received various awards, such as National Healthcare Group Outstanding Citizenship Award and Healthcare IT innovation Award for the NHG Laboratory Information & Automation Systems in 2006, for his contribution in the field of laboratory science.
