Biography
Assoc Prof Deidre graduated from the National University of Singapore. After internal medicine training and attaining Membership to the Royal College of Physician, she underwent advanced specialist neurology training. Following this, she undertook a one-year clinical stroke fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital under the mentorship of Professor Stephen Davis. Subsequently, she completed a one-year stroke research fellowship, working with various stroke groups including those at Georgetown University, Stanford University and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Assoc Prof Deidre's sub-speciality is stroke neurology and she has interests in the profile of Asian stroke patients, novel stroke risk factors, acute reperfusion strategies and advanced imaging techniques.
