Biography
Dr Andrea Wong completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Glasgow, and obtained her postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom as well as the National University of Singapore. She specializes in breast cancer and actively contributes to cancer research through her role as an investigator in several clinical trials conducted at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS). She is currently performing translational research work related to the development of novel targeted therapies for the treatment of advanced cancer in her capacity as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Cancer Science Institute, Singapore. She received the Singapore National Medical Research Council CISSP Award in 2010 as well as the National University Health System Clinical Scientist Programme Award in 2012. In addition, she has authored several publications in peer-reviewed oncology and pharmacogenetics journals, and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Singapore Society of Oncology.
