Kieron Lim

Biography

 Dr Kieron Lim is currently head & senior consultant of the division of gastroenterology & hepatology, and medical director for liver transplantation at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT), National University Hospital Singapore. He is assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and also holds an adjunct appointment as assistant professor and faculty at the division of liver diseases, Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai New York, USA. Dr Lim graduated from St Bartholomew's and The Royal London School of Medicine (UK), and worked at the liver unit at The Royal Free Hospital before returning to Singapore. He undertook his fellowship training in transplant hepatology at the Recanati / Miller Transplantation Institute, Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai New York, USA. His special interests include liver transplantation, hepatocellular carcinoma and viral hepatitis. He is the principal investigator for ongoing clinical studies in the field of liver transplantation, immunosuppression and hepatocellular carcinoma. He is a reviewer for peer-review journals Transplantation, Clinical Transplantation, World Jounrnal of Gastroenterology, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases, Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and the Singapore Medical Journal. Dr Lim has been appointed to serve on the liver subcommittee of the National Organ Transplant Unit of Singapore, the medical devices advisory committee of the Health Science Authority of Singapore, and the pharmacy and therapeutics committee at the National University Hospital. Dr Lim also serves on the national gastroenterology residency advisory committee, and is the associate program director of the gastroenterology senior residency program. He is actively involved in both undergraduate & postgraduate curriculum development and mentorship of fellows and junior faculty.
