Biography
Associate Professor Fredrik Petersson is a Senior Consultant and Research Director at the Department of Pathology, National University Hospital. He graduated from Lund University, Sweden in 1992 with M.D. and received his M.D. licence from the Swedish Board of Health in 1994. Thereafter, he trained in Histopathology at the Department of Pathology, Ryhov Hospital, Sweden and received his specialist qualification in Histopathology from the Swedish National Board of Health in 1999. In 2004, he received his Ph.D in pathology from Linkoping University, Sweden. Associate Professor Petersson has broad research interests that include head and neck, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and skin pathology. He has published 66 articles in peer-reviewed international journals in collaboration with research institutions in Europe and the USA and is involved in several ongoing collaborative research projects with European and Scandinavian institutions. He has also participated in European scientific conferences, in the role of lecturer, expert panel member and course organiser.
