Biography
Dr Benjamin Leong completed his medical studies at the National University of Singapore in 1995, and passed his Membership examination to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001, together with the Master of Medicine in Emergency Medicine. He completed a research Fellowship with the Virginia Commonwealth University Reanimation Shock Center (VCURES) in 2009. Dr Leong is currently a senior consultant emergency physician at the Emergency Medicine Department of the National University Hospital, and assistant professor with the department of Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He is the chief instructor for the Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course at NUHS. He also serves as the Chair of the Life Support Committee in NUH, as well as the deputy director of the Unit for Prehospital Emergency Care (UPEC) for MOH.
