Biography

Dr Zsuzsa R. Huszar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. She is also an affiliated researcher at the Institute of Real Estate Studies (IRES) and at the Risk Management Institute (RMI) at NUS. Dr Huszar’s research interests include the stock market pricing efficiency, the influence of the regulatory environment and regulatory changes on the international and local capital markets. In her current research, she focuses on pricing implications of the securities lending market in the context of equities and treasuries, which contributes to the global regulatory debate on the costs and benefits of short selling. Her research work has been published in top finance and real estate journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Real Estate Economics and The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. Dr Huszar has received a number of awards for her studies and research. She was awarded the 2010 Fama-DFA best paper award, an annual prize for the best capital markets and asset pricing research paper published in the Journal of Financial Economics. Dr Huszar completed her Master of Science in Property Management and Investment with Distinction at Napier University in the UK and received the Montague Prize for her master thesis work. She obtained her Master of Science in Economics and PhD in Finance at the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky.
