Biography
Mr Don Yeo is Deputy President (Administration) having joined NUS in August 2015. Mr Yeo oversees central administrative functions including financial management, investment, procurement, human resources, information technology, organisation excellence, legal, compliance and risk management. His portfolio also includes responsibility for staff and student services such as housing, health, library and the arts. Mr Yeo served in various positions with the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB), Singapore’s national social security institution, from December 2005 to June 2015. Just prior to joining NUS, he held the appointment of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Policy and Corporate Development) responsible for policy, corporate development and strategy, human resources, communications and risk management. He also served concurrently as the Board’s Chief Operating Officer from Jan 2015 responsible for driving integrated business transformation across the organisation, as well as its Chief Information Officer from Jan 2013 overseeing its IT systems and infrastructure. Mr Yeo also served as Chief Financial Officer from Dec 2008 to Apr 2014 responsible for finance, investment, procurement, office services, property and facilities management. Prior to joining the CPF Board, Mr Yeo was Director at the Institute of Public Administration and Management at the Civil Service College from January to December 2005. From August 2001 to December 2004, he served at the Ministry of Law as Director (Industry Development), Director (HR & Media) and General Manager, Community Mediation Centre. He has also previously worked at Shell, the Ministry of Trade & Industry as well as the Prime Minister’s Office (Public Service Division). Mr Yeo is currently a Board Member with the Singapore Examinations & Assessment Board, and a member of the Public Sector Committee, Singapore Chapter, CPA Australia. Mr Yeo holds a Masters and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
