Biography
Dr Matin Mellor Abdullah is a Consultant in Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy in the Cancer and Radiosurgery Centre in Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) in Subang Jaya. In SJMC, he is 1. Chairman of the Tumor Board conducting multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss cancer management. 2. A member of the Independent Review Board (IRB) who reviews clinical trials conducted in this centre. 3. The current license holder for the centre’s radiation facilities which include a linear accelerator (LINAC), Tomotherapy and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy (HDR). He is a member of the “Clinical Oncology Specialty Committee” of the Masters in Clinical Oncology Training Program in Universiti Malaya and he is a honorary consultant to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre. Current President of The Malaysian Oncological Society, a society that promotes evidence based practice in the holistic management of cancer. This society also empowers the public by conducting public forums that aims to educate them and arm them with knowledge to make informed decisions. He has been invited and had presented papers in local, regional and international meetings.
Research Interest
breast, lung and Nasopharyngeal cancers and had participated in phase III randomized clinical controlled trials.
