Biography
· Dr Lim Yi-Jia is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Dr Lim’s clinical expertise includes shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery. He is also experienced in the management of knee, foot and ankle problems, such as fractures, ligamentous and muscle injuries sustained in sports and motor vehicle accidents. · He performs procedures such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma surgery and reconstructive surgery. He also has particular interest in the treatment of diabetic foot problems. · Dr Lim completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore in 1998 and his Master of Medicine in orthopaedics in 2008. In 2010, he pursued subspecialty training in upper limb surgery at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre, and at the Victorian Hand Surgery Associates in St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. · Dr Lim was formerly the director of the Shoulder and Elbow Service in Changi General Hospital (CGH). During his tenure, he spearheaded the professional development and training of junior and senior doctors in procedures, such as arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma surgery and reconstructive surgery of the upper limb. From 2014 – 2016, Dr Lim was the chief tournament physician for the Women's Tennis Association finals held in Singapore. · Dr Lim has published in both local and international orthopaedic journals and has been invited to present his multiple research studies in worldwide conferences.
