Biography
Dr Chia has worked as a medical officer since 1979. During her training, she was attached to the Medical unit III Singapore General Hospital under Prof Seah Cheng Siang, and in the Paediatrics unit in Alexandra Hospital,Emergency Medicine both in Singapore and in UK including The Middlesex Hospital(Geriatric Unit) in London, and General Practitioner since 1984. She has managed 3 general practices in the past 30 years.Dr Chia was also involved in research work as a sub investigator in phase 1 clinical trials at Changi Hospital 2003 to 2011. She has also worked as a locum doctor for various group and solo practices.She has years of experience in health screening for various insurance companies and pre-employment and specialised screenings.She has also done volunteer work at UNCHR Refugee camps,St Luke’s Days Centre/Apex Day Care Centre for the Elderly.etc. She travels extensively and has keen interest in diving and nutrition and in helping patients understand their health issues.
