Biography
Dr Freddy Teo Cheng Peng is a Haematologist practicing at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Dr Teo Cheng Peng was awarded the Public Service Commission Scholarship by the Singapore Government to study Medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he completed his MBBS and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 1987. Under another scholarship, Dr Teo Cheng Peng received his advanced training at Royal Marsden Hospital, the leading Cancer Centre in the United Kingdom. His area of interest is in working with stem cells in the fields of haematology and medical oncology.
Research Interest
- All types of anaemia - Inherited red cell disorders - Autoimmune hemolytic anemia, an immune-mediated disease causing a low red blood cell count - Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), an immunemediated disease causing a low platelet count
