Alan Fowler

Biography

Alan Fowler has 20 years of environmental management experience from consultancy, engineering and construction companies. He specialises in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) due diligence and compliance auditing. Alan has considerable experience in developing and delivering training courses, waste minimisation, corporate environmental strategy (including environmental reviews, reporting and report verification) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). He has worked throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, with particular experience in Russia and other CIS countries. He established Ramboll Environ’s office in Moscow and coordinates the firm’s business and strategic growth in the region. Alan has experience in a wide variety of industry sectors, mainly specialising in oil and gas and food and drink processing. Alan holds an MA in Geography from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in Environmental Technology from the University of London. Alan is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) with the Institute for the Environment. He is also registered with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) as a full member, Principal Environmental Auditor and CEnv assessor, and holds a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) general certificate in Health and Safety.
