Seng Chuan Tan

Biography

 Seng Chuan (SC) Tan has 32 years of experience in technical and market development projects in emerging markets throughout Asia Pacific. At Ramboll Environ, he serves as the Regional Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region, and leads the implementation of firm strategy in existing operations throughout China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, India, Australia and New Zealand. He has particular expertise in business strategic planning and execution across the region, and has led environmental and nuclear business operations throughout Asia and Australia. SC has extensive experience in environmental engineering and project management involving the oil and gas, water, wastewater, energy and power, chemical and petrochemical, building and construction, and mass transit industries. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and a master’s in building science from the National University of Singapore. He is a registered professional engineer in Singapore, a chartered professional engineer in Australia, an Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) chartered professional engineer and a chartered engineer in Singapore for environment and water. SC is also a Fellow of Engineers Australia, and received honorary fellowships from the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) and the Institution of Engineers Singapore.
