Biography
Dr Arjandas Mahadev is at present based in KK Women's and Children's Hospital in the capacity of Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His main interest lies in paediatric foot & ankle and hips. Paediatric trauma forms the bulk of his work. He did his fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedic at the Children's Hospital, San Diego and is a corresponding member of the Paediatric Orthopaedics Society of North America. He is deeply involved in the teaching and training of both undergraduate and advanced postgraduate trainees in Orthopaedics. He holds teaching appointments as Adjunct Associate Professor with Yong Loo Lin School of Medical, National University of Singapore (NUS) and with Duke- NUS Medical Graduate School. He is Associate Programme Director (APD) for Singhealth in the planning of the upcoming Orthopaedics Surgery Residency Programme. He has several international, regional and local peer reviewed papers published and has been in involved in the scientific committees of several scientific meetings. He regularly lectures as an invited expert at regional meetings. He volunteers half a working day each month doing a clinic session at the Spastic Children’s Association of Singapore .He is also a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Singapore. He has been in involved in several community projects including The President’s Challenge in 2007. He has also been active in educational outreach programmes for Paediatric Orthopaedic around the region.

Pediatric Trauma, DDH (Developmental Dislocation (Dysplasia) of the Hip (DDH)), Non accidental injury (NAI), Cerebral Palsy and hip surveillance.
