Biography
I received my PhD from School of Biological Science, Nanyang Techonological Univeristy in 2008. After obtained PhD, I worked in the same lab as a post-doctor for two years. From 2010 till now, I did post-doctoral work under supervision of Dr Louis Tong in Singapore Eye Research Institute. My research focused on dissecting the molecular mechanisms of human pterygium. I was awarded the New Investigator Grant from NMRC in 2012 to support this project. Two peer-reviewed papers have been published from the work of this grant, and one manuscript is in the middle of preparing. Most recently, I am concentrating on studying the effector memory T cells in the pathogenesis of dry eye. Investigating the role of Transglutaminase 2 in cornea epithelium is also my one of my research interests.
