Biography
Dr Charles Chuah received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree with Commendation from the University of Aberdeen, UK in 1994. In 1999, he obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK and received the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) degree from the National University of Singapore. He was awarded the Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of London, UK in 2006. Dr Chuah is Senior Consultant with the Department of Haematology, Singapore General Hospital. Concurrently he is Assistant Professor, Cancer and Stem Cell Biology Program, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, as well as Clinical Teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Research Interest
Dr. Chuah is a clinician scientist with a special interest in translational research in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). His research interests include the understanding the mechanisms of resistance and use of novel small molecules in CML. He is a principal investigator in many multi-centre CML clinical trials.
