Biography
Dr Daniel Chua is Associate Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Cataract and Comprehensive Department, Singapore National Eye Centre. He obtained his medical degree at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005 before completing a Masters in Clinical Investigation (NUS) in 2011. During his training in the SingHealth Ophthalmology Residency Program, Dr Chua was awarded the SingHealth Best Resident (Ophthalmology) in 2012. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2014 and his Ophthalmology Specialist accreditation from Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2016. Being actively involved in education, Dr Chua is part of the Clinical Faculty Scheme under NUS as a Clinical Lecturer and frequently teaches medical students. He was awarded the SingHealth Inspiring Resident Educator Award in 2016.
Research Interest
Dr Chua’s current clinical practice includes general, cataract and comprehensive ophthalmology and he will be subspecializing in the field of laser refractive surgery.
