Biography
Dr Ti Seng Ei trained as a Cornea and Ocular Surface Transplantation Specialist at SNEC, Singapore and at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, USA. Her current speciality practice revolves around cataract, cornea and refractive surgeries. She holds a special interest in ocular surface reconstructive surgery using amniotic membrane transplantation. Her international publications display a focus in cataract, ocular surface and cornea surgical techniques as well as laboratory- based work on cultured stem cells. On the academic front, as part of the Cataract Focus Group, SNEC, Dr Ti is actively involved in teaching, at both local and international basic and advanced cataract training courses. She has been a cataract course instructor at the annual meeting of American Society Cataract Refractive Surgeons over the last few consecutive years. She enjoys clinical practice, in particular the continued pursuit of managing complex ocular surface, cornea and cataract conditions.
Research Interest
Dr Ti’s research interests include translational research involving laboratory cultivation of limbal stem cells for clinical transplantation and cataract intraocular lens implant clinical trials.
