Biography
Dr Yong graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor or Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2006. She subsequently pursued basic and advanced surgical training in Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre and obtained the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from NUS in 2012. She obtained specialist accreditation in Ophthalmology in 2016 and was conferred fellowship by Academy of Medicine (College of Ophthalmology). Dr Yong is currently undergoing subspecialty fellowship in Oculoplastic under the Advanced Clinical Specialist Program. She is also a clinical lecturer with the NUS-Yong Loo Lin School of medicine. Dr Yong has research interest in oculoplastic and orbital diseases. She is currently collaborating with Endocrinologists in Singapore General Hospital working on research in thyroid-related eye diseases, as well as with Facial Plastic and Reconstruction department in Changi General Hospital working orbital fracture and trauma research.
