Biography
Dr Chan Mei Yoke graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1987 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently went into the subspecialty of Paediatrics and got her Masters of Medicine (Paediatrics) from the Postgraduate Medical School in National University of Singapore in 1992 and her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (London) in 1994. She did her basic paediatric training in Singapore. She is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the National University of Singapore Medical Faculty. She actively takes part in the teaching of paediatrics and paediatric haematology/oncology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She also takes part in teaching nurses and paramedical staff Her special interests in paediatric haematology/oncology include bone marrow transplantation in children and the setting up of holistic care in children with cancer, which encompasses palliative and hospice care.
