Biography
Dr Matthew Lovatt obtained his PhD from Imperial College London in 1999. He has expertise and experience in Immunology, cell biology, biochemistry and stem cell research. Matthew was previously employed by A*STAR under the guidance of Alan Colman. He was involved in the directed differentiation of human embryonic stem cells towards corneal endothelial cells. He joined SERI in March 2015 and his current research focus is the role of oxidative stress in healthy and diseased corneal endothelial cells.
Research Interest
To understand at the cellular and molecular level how oxidative stress is regulated in corneal endothelial cells.
