Biography
Dr. Leong is a Fellow in the Academy of Medicine (FAM), Singapore and is a registered specialist (Orthodontics) with the Singapore Dental Council. Dr. Leong Se Mean obtained a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998. She was on the Dean’s List for the academic year 1994/1995. After graduation, Dr. Leong practised general dentistry for several years in school dental clinics, polyclinics and the National Dental Centre. In 2002, she undertook postgraduate training in the United Kingdom and received her Master degree in Orthodontics (MSc) from the University of London and Membership in Orthodontics (M. Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2005. Her training experience in the UK involved treating children and adults with complex malocclusion at various NHS (National Health Service) hospitals including the Guy’s Hospital, the Kent and Sussex Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital. After returning to Singapore, Dr. Leong was appointed the Registrar and later Senior Registrar in orthodontics at the National Dental Centre.She has been practising Orthodontics exclusively for more than 12 years. Happily married, Dr. Leong is a mom to two young boys. A fan of Roger Federer, she enjoys watching tennis in her free time.
