Biography
Mr. Amit Chander is the Head of Investments – Healthcare & Education at Baring Private Equity Partners India and handles investment opportunities and portfolio companies in these respective sectors. As part of the business consulting team at Accenture in India, he has advised clients on leveraging IT for business effectiveness and assisted clients in all change management issues associated with a large technology implementation. Prior to working with Accenture, he was with the world’s fourth largest and India’s most influential credit rating agency, CRISIL, where he was involved in advising private and public sector clients on divestments, financial reviews and operational benchmarking. He is a recipient of the Directors Silver Medal from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi where he graduated in Structural Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
