Biography
Dr. Schwartz is board certified in plastic surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Schwartz earned a bachelor degree in cellular and molecular biology from Tulane University, and went on to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine. While pursuing his medical degree, he furthered his expertise in breast cancer care by studying tumor biology and the molecular basis of cancer at the Lombardi Cancer Center, designated by the National Cancer Institute. Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Schwartz entered the prestigious integrated plastic surgery training program at Georgetown University Hospital and went on to accept a fellowship in facial and body aesthetic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Recognized for his expertise in breast reconstruction surgery, Dr. Schwartz was one of ten plastic surgeons in the country invited to develop national guidelines for techniques using tissue expanders and implants and autologous tissue for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
