Biography
Dr. Kahen is one of the leading hair transplant surgeons to incorporate the science of organ transplant into hair restoration surgery and has pioneered the technique of Platelet Rich Plasma hair restoration surgery. He developed his patent-pending formula, SmartPRP which is the combination of Platelet Rich Plasma and biomodulators to accelerate the wound healing process. Dr. Kahen attended UCLA where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychobiology. He received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and performed his general surgery internship and residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital (Manhasset, N.Y.) and Beth Israel (New York City, N.Y.). His training and research continued at NYU affiliated hospitals in organ (liver and kidney) transplant surgery. Dr. Kahen entered private practice exclusively as a hair restoration surgeon in Beverly Hills in 2007. He has been featured on television networks and in magazines, including E! News, Univision, FOX News, CNN and Robb Report magazine.
