Biography
Dr. Placik is certified as a diplomate by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been elected to several prestigious national organizations. He is a member of the Northwestern University Division of Plastic Surgery Teaching Staff. He holds an academic appointment as a clinical assistant professor of surgery (plastic) at Northwestern University Medical School where he participates in the education of residents and stays updated on emerging technologies, techniques, and procedures. As part of his commitment to academics, Dr. Placik has presented at national meetings and has published numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Placik has extensive experience in the field of body contouring procedures such as breast augmentation/reduction/lift, abdominoplasty and liposuction, and has written about methods to enhance the safety of plastic surgery procedures.
