John Thong

Biography

 A Chartered Accountant since 1980 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), John has over 30 years of accounting, auditing and consultancy experience. He is a Public Accountant and practicing member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). After training in London, he joined a major international accounting firm in Singapore as a senior member in the audit division. He then left the profession for commercial experience as finance director of a group of shipping companies for four years. Rejoining the profession in 1986, he was a manager for one and a half years in the insolvency division of an international accounting firm undertaking several assignments including the liquidation of a large chain of department stores. John as been a partner of the firm since 1988.
