Biography
Bao Wei Lua graduated from NYP with a Diploma with Merit for Diagnostic Radiogaphy in 2006 and went on to complete my Bachelor Degree in the University of Sydney in 2007. During my time as a student, besides local clinical attachments, I was posted overseas to London for 5 weeks of clinical attachment as well. I joined Tan Tock Seng Hospital in August 2007, and was trained in computer tomography in 2008, 8 months after joining Tan Tock Seng Hospital. I had since been involved in assisting in various training of junior radiographers both in general radiography and computed tomography up until my departure from the department. In 2012, I was awarded the team HMDP from National Healthcare Group and was part of a team of 4 people who were in Australia for 6 weeks for PET-CT training at various centers as well as a Foundation Course in PET-CT, which was organized by University of Sydney in collaboration with ANSTO. In December 2013, when the department took over the Nuclear Medicine Imaging service, I was tasked to be trained for the service as well as to set up the service in terms of workflow and guidelines. Subsequently, I led a small team of 4 radiographers to run the service up to the time I left my position.
