Biography
Zafar Momin is a Managing Director and Head of L.E.K.’s Southeast Asia practice. Zafar has over 25 years of experience in strategy consulting and industry. He has provided strategic advice to a wide range of clients on strategy, operations, marketing and sales, mergers and acquisitions and performance improvement. He has worked within several industries, including industrial goods, transportation, aviation, consumer, retail, life sciences, private equity and public sectors. Zafar has deep experience working with OEMs, suppliers, distributors, retailers, financiers and policy makers across the value chain in many sectors of asset-intensive industries. Prior to joining L.E.K.’s Singapore office, Zafar held a wide range of leadership roles across various geographies, including Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearney, and Executive Vice President of one of the oldest multibillion-dollar Gulf conglomerates. Zafar received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a Bachelor and Master degree in mechanical engineering from Pune University and Purdue University. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu, and conversational in German, Bahasa Indonesia and Japanese.
