Biography
Milan HorniaÄek, CSc. Is an expert in game theory, oligopoly theory and mathematical economics. In pedagogical activities, he focuses on microeconomics, game theory, dynamic programming, and institutional economics. The scientific rank of the candidate for economics was awarded to the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava in 1989. Habilitated in 1998 at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, Prague. He acted as Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Economics and Politics, University of Cambridge (1993) and at the Department of Economics, Harvard University (1995). He has taught (full-time) the Center for Economic Research and Postgraduate Education (CERGE) and the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of STU in Bratislava. He has been working at FSEV UK since 2007. At present, he is the guarantor of the Bachelor's degree program applied to the FSEV UK and a study adviser for this study program. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Czech Economic Review (published by Charles University in Prague) and the Creative and Knowledge Society (published by the Paneuropean University in Bratislava).
