Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University in Brno. He began his career as a leading designer at OKD Ostrava's automation and mechanization department and later worked as a measurement and control specialist at Energoprojekt Praha. From 1991 to 2003, he served as Executive Director and later Chairman of the Board of Directors at VAE, as (EPC supplier in the energy sector). In 1996 he began his political career as a Member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Between 2006 and 2009, he was the President of the Government of the Czech Republic and in 2009 also the President of the European Council. This year, he also actively participated in the gas crisis and was one of the organizers of the 1st Summit on the Southern Gas Corridor. After leaving high politics, he worked in the field of energy and education. In 2011, he was elected Chairman of the Heat Association of the Czech Republic. Since 2011 he has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Opatovice, as Power Plant. From 2013 until 2014, he was Head of Development and Foreign Relations at Nafta, as, Bratislava. Since 1 November 2014, Eustraame has held the post of Director for Foreign Development and Relations with Public Institutions.
