Biography
Jean-Marc Belmond leads the global engineering team responsible for core product engineering and cost performance in Europe. Before joining Inteva Belmond served as Senior Director of Engineering for the Body Systems Business Group at ArvinMeritor. He began work with ArvinMeritor in 1991 serving in a variety of engineering roles within the latches product group before moving to Dura Automotive in 1997. There he rose to the position of Product Engineering Director for Driver Controls. Afterwards he rejoined Body Systems in 2000 to lead a new engineering program for door products. In 2004 Belmond took the position of Engineering Director for Doors, Latches, Motors and Electronics.
Research Interest
Belmond is a lifelong engineer with a particular expertise in product robustness and innovation. He achieved a Master of Engineering qualification with a major in Engineering Technology at the National Engineering Institute of Mechanics and Micro Technologies (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques) in Besançon, France. He is fluent in both French and English.
