Biography
Elena Májeková is a board member at Union poisÅ¥ovňa, a.s. and Union zdravotná poisÅ¥ovňa, a.s. At Union poisÅ¥ovňa, a.s. she is responsible for non-life insurance, which includes property insurance, motor insurance and liability insurance for legal entities and private individuals. Elena manages healthcare purchases (contracts with healthcare facilities), revision and control activities, and product development at the health insurance company. Elena originally worked as a project engineer in the building industry and has worked in the insurance industry since 1992, where she has gained extensive experience in a number of different positions. For the third successive election period, Elena holds the position of Chairman of the Slovak Nuclear Insurance Pool, which insures nuclear risks in Slovakia and worldwide. Elena graduated in civil engineering from the Technical University in Bratislava.
