Biography
Rudolf Bakker was born in The Netherlands, 19.12.1967. Since 2003 he and his wife Gerlice are living in the Hannover region in Germany and they thave 4 children (16, 13, 10, 3). After studying Food Science and Technology at Wageningen University in The Netherlands, he started an international career in the Food Industry and worked for a.o. Dutch company Honig, Canadian potato-processor McCain Foods and US-ketchup giant HJ Heinz. Since 2007, Rudolf is working for Cloetta (formerly known as LEAF International), Dutch-Swedish company in the sugar confectionary industry, producing and marketing well-known (local) brands like RedBand, Venco, Läkerol, Malaco, Chewits in mainly Scandinavia, Finland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK and Italy. As Managing Director/Supply Chain Director Slovakia, he has been leading the ramp up of the brand new candy factory in Levice (Nitra region – now 750 employees) in 2 different periods: 2007-2009 and 2012-now. In the intermediate period he was responsible for managing the ramp-down and closure of 3 Nordic Cloetta factories.
