Biography

 Mr. Bohumil Kratochvíl holds the position of Member of the Board of Directors and the position of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Slovenské elektrárne, a.s. since 29 July 2016. He was nominated to the position by Slovak Power Holding B.V.   Mr. Kratochvíl graduated from ÄŒVUT (Czech Technical University) in Prague. He started his professional career in Montážne závody spojov in ÄŒeské BudÄ›jovice in 1979. From 1980, he started to work in gas industry and successively held different posts in natural gas transportation, trading, exploration, production and storage as well as distribution. During his career he acted in Czech gas companies Transgas Praha, ÄŒeský plynárenský podnik Praha and SPP Bohemia, a.s.   In 2003, he joined the Slovak oil company NAFTA, a.s. where he was appointed CEO in January 2004. During 2004 – 2008, he concurrently held the posts of the Member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board in Pozagas, a.s. During 2008 – 2012, he was CEO in the Slovak natural gas distribution company SPP – distribúcia, a.s. Since 2013, he has been the Executive Director of SPP Storage, and at the same time he was a Member of the Board of Directors and until 31 July 2016 the Director for Strategy and Development at NAFTA, a .s.
