Biography
Hans Wolfgang Kunz has been a member of the Management Board since 1996, first leading the Banknote Processing Systems and Services division. Since 2006 he has been responsible for G+D’s new business unit, Government Solutions. This offers security-related solutions to governments and authorities, and comprises secunet Security Networks AG and, as of 2015, Veridos GmbH – a joint venture between G+D and Bundesdruckerei (Berlin). Kunz began his career in 1979 as assistant to the management of Georg Westermann Verlag in Braunschweig. In 1982 he joined the Sales team at Giesecke+Devrient in Munich. Shortly afterwards he became a sales representative for banknote processing systems. In this role he established an international business for the product group, and from 1988 onwards he took over management of the Sales department. When G+D restructured in 1993 and created Banknote Processing Systems as a division of its own, Kunz became the Manager of Sales and Marketing in this new division.
