Biography
Ulaş C. Kozat received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the George Washington University, Washington, DC, in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He worked at HRL Laboratories and Telcordia Technologies Applied Research as a research intern. Since early 2004, he has been with DOCOMO Innovations (formerly DOCOMO USA Labs), an overseas R&D arm of NTT DOCOMO -the leading mobile network operator in Japan- at the heart of the Silicon Valley. Currently, he serves at DOCOMO Innovations as a principle researcher and project manager. He has been conducting research in the broad areas of distributed systems and communication networks. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
