Joseph Ludorf

Biography

 Joseph Ludorf has more than twelve years’ experience in the South African Pharmaceutical Industry, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. He is an executive director on the operational board of Cipla Medpro (Pty) Ltd and also acts as the Managing Director of the Cipla Medpro Distribution Centre (Pty) Ltd. The majority of his experience was gained by holding the position as national procurement manager for a major international private hospital group and later as the managing director of the Cipla Medpro Distribution Centre. Joseph gained valuable international experience participating in many operational, software and Inventory Optimization projects with a number of large international suppliers. Joseph has proven himself in supply chain and technology management, with a successful track record of process improvement and cost reduction through the implementation of best practices and technology. Joseph has over ten years of experience in multi-site domestic and international supply chain management experience including responsibility for procurement, warehousing and distribution of diverse product lines. He has a proven track record of implementing transformational change in both operational and corporate environments.  

Research Interest

  He has successfully managed technology projects that have consistently delivered significant process improvement in the areas of supply chain collaboration, warehouse management, operations, procurement and sales order management. Joseph has spoken on pharmaceutical supply chain issues to the industry and management groups. Joseph is a qualified pharmacist (B.Pharm 1998) which he obtained from the University of Port Elizabeth now known as the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
